General Note To Readers

Just wanted to extend a warm welcome to all of Rok's readers. I hope that you will find the RSS Cases blog as informative as I find Rok's RSS Diary. I'm just reiterating some of what I said in my very first post.

This blog will start off with new posts about 2-3 days/week, then slowly climb to 5 days a week. In addition to case studies on how to use RSS - whether you are a publisher, marketer, developer or end user - I'll have summaries of groups of related articles, plus commentary on them.

There may be a bit of overlap between what I write and what Rok writes, which Rok has told me is fine. However, the key point to note is that Rok's writing probably comes more from the Marketing angle, whereas mine comes from my tech background. Together, between us, we're hoping we can cover a lot of the aspects of RSS and web feeds.

Happy holidays to everyone. Look for loads of fresh content in January. I may post a couple of times next week, however.

Comments

I need some help understanding what feed readers and aggregators can do. I am trying to build a web page for users that reads and aggregates RSS feeds but for selected content. How can I do that? Seems that not all readers/aggregators provide for filtering the content.
