You are here: Home » RSS Cases - From Technology to Praxis » RSS General » Introduction to RSS Cases Blog September 28, 2005 Introduction to RSS Cases Blog Greetings to those of you that have come here via Rok Hrastnik's rssdiary.marketingstudies.net pages, or from other links. Rok has asked me to write about RSS, particularly around 3 main topics, and graciously given me space to host my RSS blog: (1) RSS Marketing - Using and promoting your RSS Feeds to increase your online success. (2) RSS Development - How to build your RSS Feeds, and discussion of new technologies and software for creating and maintaining them. (3) RSS Metrics - Measuring techniques to determine how well your RSS Feeds are doing, and whether they are improving readership for the rest of your website. Most of the posts here will fall into the above categories. We will be providing numerous case studies in the future, as well as supplementing the content here with whitepapers and e-books. You are welcome to comment on the posts, as well as suggest topics for future discussion. We are very open to reader feedback. Please note that this blog will take some time to get regular postings. You may only see 2 or 3 posts per week for the first few weeks, and there may be over-representation in a certain category. Rest assured, however, that as this is a long-term project, things will even out to the point where there'll be regular postings here in all three primary categories. Also, in case you are looking for a more technical viewpoint about RSS, I am currently rolling three older blogs into a single hardcore-technical blog (URL location to be announced later). While this blog will not be hosted here at this website, it will be a companion to the case studies we present here. We are also likely to present you, in the future, with RSS-related code that the least technical of you can download and plugin. Again, stay tuned.
