Editors Weblog has an article about media baron Rupert Murdoch and his belief that print will survive for quite some time yet. I generally have to agree with Murdoch. Human beings are tactile creatures, and there's something to be said about sitting on the bus or train or easy chair, reading a newspaper. However, what I'm really looking forward to trying out is all these digital paper panels I've been reading about., some of which are solar-powered. They might be a great supplement to printed matter. If they do happen, they would be a great end-user interface to all types of web feed content. And as I've said repeatedly, I think that appropriate consumer electronics hardware is the answer to widespread RSS usage.
