NewsFox RSS Reader Application in a Browser

NewsFox is a very simple RSS reader that sits in your Firefox web browser but looks like a standalone application. It's one of the many free extensions available for the newest versions of the incredibly lovely and talented Firefox browser. What's more, it actually uses the XUL (XML User interface markup Language, or some such), developed by the non-profit Mozilla organization - which is why NewsFox looks like a standalone app.

I just started using it a few days ago, and the only thing that surprised me at first is its complete lack of any default subscribed-to web feeds. It's sparse interface may be intimidating to webfeed newbies, but give it a chance, and it just might replace your current feed reader(s). I like it because of its sparseness because I don't have to go deleting all the feeds I don't want.

Details: NewsFox 0.3.5 works on Firefox versions 1.0-1.5.

If you want Firefox with the Google Toolbar, look for the graphic in this post. Please be warned that it is my affiliate link, and I will not be offended if you don't use it . Use this instead if you prefer a non-affiliate
Firefox link.
