The idea, in my opinion, for using RSS is to make your website/ blog "stickier". That is, as a means for drawing visitors back again. And again. The RSS/ Atom web feed feature makes it easy for subscribers to check when you've posted new content, whether its audio or text or photos. Keep in mind that most blogging platforms already produce either an RSS or Atom feed. My suggestion is that you have an alternate feed as well, to promote some premium content or teasers of such. So, to summarize, you need to do both, each supporting the other. Set up and maintain the blog and its default feed. Plus, have a supplemental web feed as way to offer reminders of available premium content. If you cannot have a separate feed from the blog feed, then include teasers of premium audio/video content in your blog posts. Then have the premium content available elsewhere on your website.
